Diabetes - Coping and Support
- Healthcare teams are there to give them emotional support, reassurance and help them to build their confidence in coping with diabetes. If either the patient, their family or friends are concerned about any aspect of diabetes, healthcare teams would rather know about it. If the worry is groundless, then they can be reassured. If it has some cause then action can be taken.You can also get a lot of support and encouragement from other people with diabetes as Diabetes voluntary groups.Managing diabetes at work: some people are ill-informed about diabetes and may respond irrationally out of fear or ignorance.A simple explanation about diabetes is all people with diabetes need to give. If they do not treat their diabetes as a problem, it is less likely that their colleagues will.
